It’s 12 months until the next South Australian Wooden Boat Festival and Alexandrina Council is calling for volunteers to help to plan and run the biennial event.

It has opened up Expressions of Interest in joining the official committee and for someone to chair the committee.

The 2025 festival will be held on the weekend of 26-27 April and there is a lot of planning and organising required to make it happen.

The council is looking for people passionate about wooden boats to contribute to this celebration centred on the historic river port of Goolwa and the mighty Murray.
