About Marisa

Marisa is deeply committed to social justice and a fair society. A society where every person has the opportunity to fulfil their potential and live a safe and prosperous life.  

Marisa is an intensive care nurse and a nurse educator who has worked in the health system all of her working life. She is a proud member of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation.

As a frontline worker, she has experienced the stresses that the health system is under. She understands the need for better resources to support nurses and doctors and the people they care for.

Particularly older residents who struggle to access home care and aged care support services.

Marisa is dedicated to improving our health system so that health services are accessible and affordable for all in the Mayo community.

Marisa is the daughter of Italian migrants who came to South Australia seeking a better life. She shares the love of culture, language, hard work and diversity families like hers bring to this country.

Marisa knows that climate change is one of the biggest challenges that we face. Our environment must be protected, and we need to transition to a safer, more diversified economy, that creates jobs for the future.

Marisa is passionate about her community and wants to be a strong voice for the people of Mayo.
