Kangaroo Island Council is developing its next 10-year plan to map out the future of the island - Towards 2034: Community Strategic Plan.

Using the tagline Our Island, Our Future the council is asking for the community to get involved and share ideas and priorities for the future.

It wants people think about what they most value about Kangaroo Island, what services could be improved and to imagine what the community will look like in 10 years’ time.

The council will hold a series of community consultation sessions during the last week of July to enable residents to have a say:

• Tuesday 23 July – Dudley District Hall, 6pm to 8pm.
• Thursday 25 July – Kingscote Town Hall, 6pm to 8pm.
• Friday 26 July – Stokes Bay Hall, 5pm to 7pm.
• Saturday 27 July – Western Districts Sports Club, 11am to 1pm.
• Sunday 28 July – Vivonne Bay General Store, 10am to 1pm.
• Sunday 28 July – Parndana  Town Hall, 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
• Monday 29 July – American River Town Hall, 6pm to 8pm.
