Spring is just around the corner when the almond trees bloom and the Willunga Almond Blossom Festival will celebrate the season next weekend, 30 and 31 July.
The long running community fundraising event runs from 11am to 9pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday at the Willunga Recreation Park.
It features show rides and family activities, circus performers, camel and pony rides and an animal nursery.
Shop at the market stalls, sing along with local musicians and discover local almonds, with Meet the Growers and an almond cracking competition on the Sunday.
There will be a range of delicious food on offer, plus wine and beer stalls.
Whether you want real ‘carnie food’, wood fired pizza, burgers, simple healthy snacks or Asian dishes, you will find them all at the festival.
A Family Pass costs $25 (up to 4 children); Adult $10; Concession/Student $5; Children under 5 free.
Tickets are available from TryBooking. The Willunga Recreation Park is at 5 Main Road, opposite the Alma Hotel.
