Photo: SAPOLA passenger has been hospitalised with leg injuries following early morning crash and the driver is facing charges after a crash at Morphett Vale.
At about 1am this morning (Saturday 1 November), police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Wheatsheaf Road and Taylors Avenue, after reports a red Holden sedan had collided with a stobie pole.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the driver of the Holden, a 22-year-old man from Hackham. He was not physically injured and didn’t require treatment. The passenger, a 23-year-old man from Morphett Vale, received leg injuries, and was taken to hospital where remains with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was subjected to an alcotest and returned a positive reading of 0.183. He was issued a 12-month loss of licence, and his vehicle was towed from the scene. He has also been reported for driving with a prescribed concentration of alcohol and is likely to face other traffic offences.
