Would you like to see a community icon painted on the Myponga Reservoir wall?
What about wildlife or an environmental message?
Environment Minister David Speirs has raised the idea of painting a mural on the wall and is asking for community feedback.
The idea has been inspired by a recently unveiled 8000 m2 mural on the Wellington Dam wall in Western Australia.
The mural is part of a $1.5M mural art trail around Collie, about 200km south of Perth, and depicts local children playing.
Suggestions already received on Minister Speirs’ Facebook page include ‘jovial looking bovines’, depictions of canoeing, fishing and walking around the area, an ANZAC tribute and a portrait of record breaking Myponga footballer Barry Clarke.
Others have suggested that public money would be better spent on other projects, such as saving the St Kilda mangroves or the health service.
