Harmony week is celebrated around Australia from 21 to 27 March to demonstrate that everyone belongs.
Onkaparinga Libraries will mark the week by inviting the community to help make a thousand paper cranes for the Sadako Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan.
In 2018, Woodcroft and Seaford Libraries made 1000 origami cranes and sent them to the Sadako Peace Monument.
This year Onkaparinga Libraries and Woodcroft-Morphett Vale Neighbourhood Centre aim to achieve this amazing target again for Harmony Week.
On the Fleurieu drop in to the Aldinga or Willunga libraries to help fold the origami cranes.
The Seaford, Woodcroft and Hub libraries are also taking part in the activity that is suitable for all ages, with no bookings required.
A Crane Kit, with all of the equipment and instructions needed to make some origami peace cranes, can also be collected from Noarlunga library prior to the start of Harmony Week to either take home or fold while in the library.
