A walk and talk along the Onkaparinga River

How well do you know a river? How do rivers flow through our lives? Explore these questions with artist Rebecca McEwan on a slow walk and story reading along the bank of Onkaparinga/ Ngankipari River on Tuesday 7 January.

Take a short river stroll to a small clearing to hear Rebecca’s reflections on getting to know the river as a neighbour and as a Resident Artist.

A reading of the poetic and encyclopedic story What is a River? by Monika Vaicenavičienė will follow.

There will be an opportunity to visit Sauerbier House after the walk to experience Rebecca's exhibition natural discourse.

This is a free event, but registration is required via Trybooking, to gauge numbers. An optional gold coin donation can be made to Friends of the Onkaparinga on the day.

The walk will start at Perry’s Bend Kayak launch car park, River Road, Port Noarlunga at 10.30am. It is suitable for all ages, children to be with accompanied by adult caregiver.
