Young musicians from the southern Fleurieu will be offered the chance to professionally record and produce their own music, under a new program funded by Country Arts SA.
Next year, eight local emerging artists will be able to access free studio sessions to create, record and refine their original music at Ridley Farm Studio in Hindmarsh Valley.
In this professional environment they can develop their own EP and industry experts will provide mentorship on music production.
The initiative is coordinated by the City of Victor Harbor’s Youth Development Team. And aims to raise the profile of regional arts.
Aspiring local musicians will have the opportunity gain insights into the music industry and discover a pathway to a professional music career.
The program is open to both bands and solo artists, aged 15 to 26, from across the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Applications close mid-December; find out more via email to the City of Victor Harbor or phone 8551 0500.
