South Australian lifestyle program Adelady will showcase the Fleurieu in an upcoming episode.
Show hosts and social media dynamos Hayley Pearson and Lauren De Cesare filmed in the region from Thursday to Saturday 16-18 July.
The women visited Myponga Reservoir, D’Arenberg Cube, Port Elliot, the Encounter Bay Bikeway and Willunga Farmers Market.
They even abseiled The Bluff at Encounter Bay.
The pair stayed at The Bluff Resort Apartments, where Hayley says she has been staying since she was a child.
While they were filming, Hayley and Lauren shared photos and anecdotes from their Fleurieu adventure on their social media, giving the Fleurieu further exposure to Adelady’s nearly 100,000 Instagram followers and more than 70,000 followers on Facebook.
The District Council of Yankalilla was proud to host the pair at the Myponga Reservoir on the Thursday.
The crew captured the stunning views from the Myponga Reservoir Lookout for the segment opener.
The segment also included a plug for the council’s Fleurieu Coast Free Bike Hire available from Smiling Samoyed Brewery.
Hayley and Lauren were stunned by the beauty of the reservoir’s loop track, with Hayley commenting on its likeness to Canada and her plans to bring her children back to cycle the trail on a weekend.
SA Water’s Program Manager Tara Hage also spoke about the success of opening up reservoirs to the public and the future plans of on-water activities for Myponga Reservoir.
Filming concluded on dusk, with the women enjoying a picnic hamper of local Fleurieu produce supplied by Leonard’s Mill.
The Fleurieu Peninsula Adelady feature is set to air on Channel 9 on Sunday 9 August.
