The October school holidays have begun, which means it’s showtime on the Fleurieu.
Yankalilla, Strathalbyn and Port Elliot will be the focus of the region as the spotlight shines on all things agriculture.
The Yankalilla, Rapid Bay & Myponga Horticultural Society Show kicks off the season on Saturday 5 October, from 9am to 4pm.
Entry to the Yankalilla Showgrounds is $10 for adults, $5 for pensioners and children aged 5 to 15.
The oldest in the region, Strathalbyn Show always runs on the public holiday Monday – this year 7 October.
Open from 10am to 4.30pm; entry costs $15 for adults, $10 for pensioners and students, $5 for children aged 5 to 14.
Serving the south coast, the Port Elliot Show features on the following weekend, 12 and 13 October at the Tottenham Court Road showgrounds.
It will be open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday with entry $15 for adults, $10 concession and $5 for children aged 6 to 16.
