The new Aldinga Skate Park will officially open on Sunday 6 April and City of Onkaparinga is inviting the community to try it out.

Located at Aldinga Sports Park on Port Road, the new facility has been designed for all ages.

skate demonstrations and coaching will be on offer at the celebrations, along with family activities.

A free barbecue and drinks will be available from 12noon to 2pm.

Then during the school holidays Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation will host free skateboarding sessions on Monday 14 April, open to young people aged 6-18.

Aimed at both beginners and those with some experience, this program is perfect for learning new tricks, improving skills and having fun.

A beginners and inclusive session will run from 12noon to 1pm, with free skating for all from1.30pm to 2.30pm.
