The Alexandra & Eastern Hills Cricket Association (AEHCA) season resumes on Saturday (13/1/24) after a four-week break. The race for the finals appears to be down to five teams with reigning premiers Lobethal, and the team they defeated in the 2022/23 decider, Langhorne Creek, sitting comfortably in the top-two on the ladder. Strathalbyn, Nairne and Macclesfield are battling it out for the other two spots in the finals series. Woodside are still an outside chance of making the top-four, while Hahndorf and Bremer Callington will each look to add to their solitary win so far in 2023/24.
Some of the best performers with the bat so far in 2023/24 have been Luke Cousins (Strathalbyn) with 331 runs, Daniel Kropp (Langhorne Creek - 317 runs) and Graydon Brand (Bremer Callington - 301 runs). Best with the ball include Brayden Gaiter (Strathalbyn - 28 wickets), Nick Johns (Woodside - 21 wickets) and Caleb Walker (Nairne - 18 wickets).
