Nominations are open for the 2022 Alexandrina Heritage Awards.


The awards recognise excellence in heritage conservation, research and works undertaken within the district.


The award categories include Heritage Tourism; Conservation or Restoration; Adaptive Reuse; Heritage Gardens and Fencing; and Historical Research.


Nominations close Friday 29 April and the awards will be presented at an evening event on Thursday 26 May, as part of the South Australian History Festival.


Hosted by the Alexandrina Council Heritage Advisory Committee, The award evening will include a special guest speaker.


It will celebrate the Alexandrina Council region's rich cultural heritage and the work that is undertaken to preserve it.
