Twelve local businesses have shared in $52,577 from Alexandrina Council to assist in recovering from the negative impacts caused by COVID-19.
The second round of the 2020-2021 Economic Development and Events Recovery Grant Fund is supporting small businesses with clever ideas, and giving them the opportunity to develop those ideas further.
The grants have been awarded to applicants across a wide range of sectors including; accommodation and food services, agriculture, arts and recreation services, health care and social assistance, retail, and wholesale trade.
Eligible entities were able to apply for up to $5,000 for new activities that will generate economic growth and stimulate profitability.
Businesses were supported to adapt to online trading, improve shopfront appeal or activate main streets in our townships.

Council supported this second round of funding at the April Council Meeting, following allocation of $47,164 first round funding from the 2020-2021 Economic Development and Events Recovery Grant Fund.
