The intersection of Dawson Street and South Terrace, in Strathalbyn, was closed this week as part of the town centre revitalisation project.

It is scheduled to remain closed until 8 September, while the upgrade at the end of Dawson Street takes place.

Detours will be in place for this period, but the southern part of Dawson Street can still be accessed via Donald Street where roadside parking and shop access will be available.

The current closure of Alexandrina Road at the Sandergrove bridge, south of Strathalbyn, is expected to be lifted from tomorrow, Friday 18 August. 

Lane and speed restrictions will continue while the road widening and culvert treatments are completed; expected to be 6 September.

Alexandrina Council says local access will be maintained at all times.
