The Willunga Almond Blossom Festival has been postponed due to the South Australian lockdown.
The festival was due to take place this weekend, on 24–25 July, but will now be postponed to November this year.
Event coordinator Heather Williams says the committee is extremely disappointed with the postponement, because the 2020 Festival was cancelled due to COVID-19.
“This event is a major annual community fundraiser for the Willunga Recreation Park who were looking forward to hosting this fun family friendly weekend to raise much-needed funds to continue the ongoing refurbishment of its facilities including the replacement of new floor and roof of the 40-year-old basketball stadium.” Heather says.
Ticket holders can receive a refund or choose to donate the funds to the community owned and managed Willunga Recreation Park.
“This valuable contribution will be invested into the future of our much-loved recreation park,” she says.
A new date for the Festival will be announced later this year.
“We sincerely appreciate all the support of our community run festival and we look forward to hosting our festival in the future in a community safe environment.”
