The SA Liberal Party has elected Amy Williams as its candidate for Mawson at the 2022 State Election.

She defeated former Christopher Pyne staffer Hannah March and Onkaparinga Deputy Major Simon McMahon in a vote held on Sunday.

Ms Williams is a dairy farmer and has previously held the position of Executive Officer of Primary Producers SA.  

She is also the president of the Parawa Ag Bureau and a member of the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board.

Mawson is currently held by Labor’s Leon Bignell by only 115 votes.

It covers a large part of the Fleurieu (including McLaren Vale, Yankalilla, Cape Jervis and Myponga) and Kangaroo Island.

The next state election will be held in March 2022.
