Onkaparinga Libraries will host a special author talk at Aldinga on Saturday 7 August.

Join Kunyi June Anne McInerney from 10.30 to 11.30am as she talks about the stories and paintings in her new book, Kunyi.

South Australian artist Kunyi June Anne McInerney was just four years old when she and three of her siblings were taken from their family to the Oodnadatta Children’s Home in South Australia in the 1950s.

Her new book, Kunyi, is an extraordinary collection of over 60 paintings and stories, drawing on her childhood experiences as a member of the Stolen Generation.

She details what life was like for her and the other children at the Oodnadatta Children’s Home, revealing the loneliness, fear and courage of the Stolen Generation children.

The session at Aldinga Library is suitable for adults and children aged 9+. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite
