Premier Steven Marshall has just announced an additional six new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since this morning’s press conference.
The six new cases takes the number of cases linked to the Modbury outbreak to 12.
Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier said at a press conference held at 4.30pm this afternoon that five of the new cases were linked to a known exposure site at Tenafeate Creek Wines at Yattalunga, in Adelaide’s north.
All of the people were at the winery at some time between 1.45pm to 4.30pm on Sunday 18 July.
It is not yet known if the five people were in one party or attended the winery separately.
One of the cases, a man in his 40s, then subsequently attended the Gawler and Districts College (B-12) in Evanston on Monday.
Everyone who was on site at the school on Monday has been directed to quarantine.
The sixth case was diagnosed in a very young child who had been at The Greek on Halifax restaurant in the city on Saturday evening.
Professor Spurrier said the winery and the restaurant were considered super-spreading events.
Professor Spurrier urged anyone who had been at either location, but who had not signed in via QR codes or yet been contacted by SA Health, to get tested and quarantine immediately.
As reported by The Fleurieu App earlier today, the Aldinga Police Station is one of seven closed temporarily from midday today, to free up SAPOL resources.
