Today is another total fire ban day for the Mount Lofty Fire Ban district, which includes the whole of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The Fire Danger Rating for the region is rated at severe.
Daytime temperatures in the region are expected to reach up to 36 degrees with north to north-easterly winds of up to 45 km/h. Winds will then ease a little and turn south to south-westerly in the late afternoon.
The Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East are also all under a total fire ban.
Kangaroo Island’s Fire Danger Rating is Very High.
Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted.
The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow
The CFS recommends that you implement your Bushfire Survival Plan.
Landowners are asked to adhere to local harvest codes of practice which are available from your local council
Agencies are advised to activate their Total Fire Ban procedures in preparation for these predicted fire weather conditions.
