Tuesday 25 April will see Dawn Services mark the start of ANZAC Day commemorations across Australia.
But there are many ways and times across the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island to honour those who have fallen in war and those who serve.
American River
Remembrance Reserve, Tangara Drive – Dawn Service 6.15am; followed by a Gunfire Breakfast at The Shed.
Goolwa
Goolwa RSL – The Cutting, Goolwa - Dawn Service starts 6am.
Hindmarsh Island
Hindmarsh Island Cemetery, Randell Road - Dawn Service 6.15am.
Inman Valley
Inman Valley Memorial Hall – Dawn Service at 6.15am with the Light Horsemen in attendance. A Gun Fire Breakfast will be held following the service, for a gold coin donation.
Kingscote
Bernie Davies Memorial Park, Kingscote Terrace – Dawn Service 6.15am; followed by a Gunfire Breakfast at the Lions Hall.
Murray Street – ANZAC Day March 10.30am
Bernie Davies Memorial Park, Kingscote Terrace - Commemoration Service 10.45am; followed by morning tea at the Ozone Hotel.
McLaren Vale
Memorial Park, Valley View Drive – Dawn Service 6am, followed by a Gunfire breakfast at the RSL by donation.
Middleton
Soldiers Memorial Gardens Remembrance Service starts 11.30am. Refreshments available afterwards, courtesy of the Middleton Town and Foreshore Association.
Mount Compass
War Memorial Community Centre, 5 Peters Terrace - Dawn Service starts 6am.
Myponga
Myponga Memorial Community Centre – Dawn Service at Memorial Wall at 6am. Breakfast Sausage Sizzle and Tea/Coffee available after the service for $5.
Parndarna
War Memorial, Townhall Precinct, Wedgewood Road - Commemoration Service 8.30am; Sunset Flag Lowering Service 5.40pm.
Penneshaw
War Memorial, North Terrace - Commemoration Service 9am; followed by morning tea at the Penneshaw Town Hall.
Port Elliot
Port Elliot RSL, 10 The Strand - Dawn Service starts 6am. Partial road closure of The Strand, Port Elliot (between Henry Street & Young Street)
ANZAC Day BBQ & Two Up - BBQ & Bar from 1pm; Two-Up from 2pm.
Second Valley
Second Valley War Memorial, Finniss Vale Drive – Dawn Service at 6.15am.
A breakfast of egg and bacon rolls will be held in the Soldier’s Memorial Hall following the service.
Strathalbyn
Soldiers Memorial Gardens - Dawn Service starts 6am.
Parade of Veterans, Strathalbyn Oval - starts 5.55pm (hosted by Strathalbyn RSL Sub-branch)
Tooperang
Tooperang War Memorial Hall, 2485 Bull Creek Road - Dawn Service starts 6am.
Victor Harbor
Soldiers Memorial Garden, Flinders Parade – Dawn Service from 5.45am; followed by a gunfire breakfast made and supplied by the Lions Club.
Willunga
Behind RSL Clubrooms, Main Street - Dawn Service 6.15am.
Yankalilla
Yankalilla War Memorial Park - Dawn Service at 6.30am for a 6.40am start.
A Gun Fire Breakfast will follow at the RSL Hall, Main South Road, Normanville - a gold coin donation would be appreciated.
