The Goolwa Aquafest classic speedboat event will be on again this weekend, Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 April.

This free event showcases vintage, classic and modern racing and speedboats at the Goolwa Aquatic Club.

Visitors will see classic and modern race boats, with a rare chance to both get close to the boats in the pits and see high action on the water.

There will be vintage wooden hydroplanes, skiffs, classic old wooden race and ski boats, plus fibreglass classic race and ski boats as well as modern race boats.

The boats will also be on display in the pit area and accessible to anyone who would like a closer look.

The family-friendly event is fully catered with food stalls enabling spectators to picnic on the lawn.

The aquatic clubrooms are licensed and there is a restaurant next door for those who to eat indoors.

​​

If the weather is kind there will be a Hot Rod and classic car display. 

A vintage aeroplane flyover will add to the excitement in an action-packed free event on land, water and sky.
