Police have arrested a man following an assault at Aldinga Beach earlier this week.
About 2.30pm on Monday 16 August, a man failing to wear a face mask, entered a supermarket on Aldinga Beach Road.
Staff challenged him and he became irate and abusive. A member of the public intervened and spoke to the man, who abused the shopper and pushed him to the chest causing him to fall to the ground.
After an investigation, on Tuesday 17 August, a 41-year-old man from Aldinga Beach was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly behaviour and failing to comply with a direction.
He was granted police bail to appear in the Christie Beach Magistrates Court on 16 September.
Police will investigate all alleged breaches of the Emergency Management Act.
