The impact of ocean waste is the focus for an art exhibition set to open in Victor Harbor today, Saturday 17 December.
The collaborative mixed media exhibition seeks to bring awareness to the impact of ocean waste on the planet, people, and everything in the ocean.
Titled ‘In my body - we are all connected’, the exhibition is a collaboration between local artists Gina Allain, Libby Tozer, Clancy Retallick, Kyla McHughes, Jade McHughes and Tracey Grivell.
Together they weave a story about ocean waste, where we are at now and where to next.
One of the artists, Libby Tozer, founder of the She Is Seen movement, says the exhibition aims to open up conversations, to bring awareness and enact change.
Among the art pieces will be photographs taken during the recent She Is Seen Festival in Victor Harbor, and a series that focuses on ocean waste and plastics.
The exhibition will be held at the Coral Street Art Gallery in Victor Harbor from until Monday 9 January.
The gallery is open from 10am-4pm every day except Wednesday.
