Artisan markets signal summertime

It will be an artisanal week on the south coast with the Victor Harbor Artisan Market this Sunday 31 October and the inaugural Community Grooves at Hindmarsh Valley on 5 November.

The Victor Harbor Artisan Market will be held on Railway Parade from 10am to 4pm, with more than 70 stalls of makers creators and producers, as well as live entertainment.

The Penguin Path show bag will be on sale for $10 on the day, a fundraiser to help save the Granite Island penguins.

Community Grooves is a night market to be held next Friday under the stars at the Hindmarsh Valley Memorial Hall from 4pm.

It will feature a wide array of creative stalls featuring art, fashion, jewellery, unique handmade creations, vinyl records, collectables and more.

Beverages will be available from the Market Bar with all proceeds going towards upgrading the amenities and facilities at the hall.

Circuitree Sound System will create after dark atmospherics with local South Australian electronic artists supplying the grooves while you relax and shop.

The Hindmarsh Valley Progress Association plans for the market to be an ongoing family-friendly event to raise awareness of the Hindmarsh Valley Hall and what it can offer the community.
