Police are investigating an assault which occurred at Aldinga Beach yesterday.

Just before 6pm on Wednesday 21 August, a woman was jogging on the beach between Seaview Street and Aldinga Beach Road, Aldinga Beach when she was approached by an unknown man from behind and assaulted. She sustained minor injuries.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, who described as male, Caucasian, 5'8" to 5'10", scruffy/unkempt, wearing an oversized black hooded top with a silver lip piercing in his bottom lip.

Detectives from Southern District would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the alleged offence or may have CCTV or vehicle camera footage.
