The Fleurieu will Reflect, Respect and Celebrate Australia Day, along with the rest of the country, on Tuesday 26 January.
Councils have scaled down the usual festivities to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, but each local government will conduct citizenship ceremonies and present awards to outstanding local citizens.
Australia Day Ambassador Anthony Fioravanti, Superintendent - State Intelligence Branch, will speak at the District Council of Yankalilla event.
It will take place at Yankalilla Memorial Park on Main South Road from 9-11am.
Soldiers Memorial Gardens, on Flinders Parade, will host Victor Harbor’s ceremonies, starting with a free barbecue breakfast from 8am.
A Welcome to Country by Leonie McCallum will start formal proceedings at 9am, followed by entertainment from the City Band.
Dennis Kluske will be named Citizen of the Year in recognition of 50 years’ service to the Country Fire Service. The Young Citizen of the Year is Daniel Western, who mentors local young people.
The Victor Harbor Art Show is the Community Event of the Year and the Award for Active Citizenship goes to Victor Harbor CFS Group.

Alexandrina celebrates Australia Day across the region with Citizen of the Year and Citizenship Ceremonies in Goolwa and Strathalbyn.
The Goolwa presentations will be at Centenary Hall, with breakfast available for purchase at the Goolwa Bowling Club from 8am.
Strathalbyn’s Soldiers Memorial Gardens will be the setting for an informal picnic with breakfast available for purchase from 7.30am.
The ceremonies start at 9am, with visitors welcome to take chairs and picnic rugs. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite Goolwa and Eventbrite Strathalbyn.
There are four locations for a free family-friendly Australia Day breakfast within the City of Onkaparinga:
• Happy Valley - Happy Valley Sports Park.
• Aldinga Beach - Symonds Reserve, Butterworth Road.
• Willunga - The Old Court House.
• Noarlunga - Ramsay Place.
Held from 8-11am, the events will include flag raising ceremonies, children's activities and live entertainment. Take a picnic rug or chair.
