Spring is in the air; the temperature is rising and bushfire season is just around the corner.
The SA Country Fire Service will host a free information session to help south coast residents prepare for the upcoming Fire Danger Season on Saturday 20 September.
This session is a great opportunity to learn more about how bushfires behave and what to do during an emergency.
It will cover how warnings are issued; how to prepare properties to reduce risk; when to leave and where to go; and how to create and use a Bushfire Survival Plan.
The workshop will be held at the Victor Harbor Harness Racing Club in Hindmarsh Valley at 2 pm and will include a free sausage sizzle and a visit from the CFS mascot Smokey.
