Beach Huts Middleton has won a gold medal in the 3-3.5 star accommodation category at the national tourism awards.

The medal was awarded at a ceremony on the Gold Coast last Friday 18 March to honour the best tourism businesses in the country.

There were eight other South Australian medallists, including silver in the adventure tourism and ecotourism categories, but the Fleurieu business was the only one to take out gold.

Beach Huts Middleton offers a dozen unique and colourful individual, self-contained accommodation huts, located a short walk from the south coast surf beach.

Blues restaurant is on the site, which is a popular local wedding venue.

The team at Beach Huts Middleton is thrilled with its big win, saying on Facebook that they are, “proud and over the moon!”
