Hordes of football players and supporters will descend on the south coast next weekend for the 2021 South Australian Country Football Championships.
Hosted by Victor Harbor and Encounter Bay Football Clubs on 10 and 11 July, the carnival is sponsored by THINK! Road Safety and supported by the City of Victor Harbor.
The SA Country Football Championships showcases, supports and celebrates country football, with a vision of football leaving lasting legacies in communities.
It began in 1994 and brings together players and officials from 23 regional leagues across South Australia.
More than 250 talented community footballers from country South Australia will represent six zone teams across the men’s and women’s carnivals.
A SANFL regional match between South Adelaide and Adelaide will be held in conjunction with the event at 2.30pm on Saturday 10 July at Victor Harbor Oval.
Competing zones include Eastern, Central, Eyre Peninsula, Murray South East,
Northern and Southern Districts.
