Goolwa Rotary market will kick off the New Year with a bang, with more than 80 stalls on offer tomorrow, Sunday 3 January.
Held at the historic Goolwa Wharf from 9am to 3pm, the market usually operates on the first and third Sunday of each month but in January will be open every Sunday except the last.
The Rotary Club of Encounter Bay runs the market, as well as the Lakala market held on Saturdays at Port Elliot, as a major fundraising effort for its local and international programs.
Both markets were affected by COVID-19 closures but are now back in full swing with QR check-in points and social distancing measures.
Organisers expect visitors to flock to the markets over summer and ask that all shoppers show patience and respect to keep everyone safe.
Food and wine, cake and coffee, art and crafts, clothing and jewellery, the bright atmosphere and wonderful wide range of goods for sale make it hard to leave empty handed.
