Big week for Fleurieu women in businessThe Women in Business Regional Network contingent met at Mick O’Shea’s Irish Pub to hear from international psychic medium Alice Terry (second from right).

Stress-free marketing and a very different look at personal energy levels were the topics for two women in business dinners on the Fleurieu last week.

On Monday 2 November local international psychic medium Alice Terry was the guest speaker at the Women in Business Regional Network dinner at Mick O’Shea’s Irish Pub.

This was a very interactive session with those present called on to assess their energy levels and to help identify areas in their lives that were draining or needed some assistance.

Alice provided exercises too to help create a barrier against those tasks or people who would seek to drain energy levels.

The topic was a timely one as many businesses have had a tough year due to COVID-19 and lack of energy was a common complaint.

At Victor Harbor on Wednesday 4 November the topic was how to simplify your marketing with guest speaker Carolyn Jeffrey of CJ’s Business Solutions.

Again, it was a chance for active participation as those present were asked to visualise their customer target, not only age, gender and location, but their pinpoints, passions and dreams.

“The pressures of the past year have made it harder for many businesspeople to think clearly about what they need to be doing in their businesses, and marketing, particularly social media marketing, can be a significant drain on our limited time,” Carolyn says.

“It certainly helps to be more focused in your marketing target to not only create campaigns that have a better chance of working, but it also makes it much easier to monitor whether or not your marketing is effective.”

This was the final event in Victor Harbor for the network this year and plans are underway for a major event in Adelaide in January, with a view to starting the new year off on a good note.  Details will be announced later.

The final McLaren Vale function for the year will be a lunch at Angoves on Monday, November 16.

Guest speaker Jo Puplett from Elevate Your Look will present on the topic of dressing for business success.

The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business.  You don’t have to be a member to attend events but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
