The end of financial year usually sees delivery of printed calendars for rubbish, green waste and recycling collection to households across Alexandrina, Victor Harbor, Yankalilla and Kangaroo Island.

This year the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority will transition to digital calendars, in the interests of sustainability.

FRWA says the change will help reduce waste from unused calendars and supports better recycling practices, especially since magnets attached to calendars can prevent proper recycling if not removed.

The digital calendars can be downloaded from the FRWA website and can be tailored to a specific address, so only the relevant collection days are shown.

Council-wide calendars can also be downloaded.

Anyone who still needs a printed version can collect one from their local council office or contact FRWA.
