Birdy walk celebrates birdy book

To celebrate the launch of Birds of the Hindmarsh River Trail, Willunga Environment Centre and H&F Landscapes will offer an early morning walk in search of those birds.

The walk will be on Friday 25 March at 8.15am and will take around three hours.

It will follow the McCracken trail along the Hindmarsh River where walkers will learn from Malcolm Worthing, author of Hindmarsh River Birds, and Ann Houghton, photographer and editor of Willunga Birds.

Birds of the Hindmarsh River Trail is the first bird book specific to Victor Harbor and covers more than 80 bird species.

It features more than 120 colour photographs, the majority of which were taken along the trail itself by the author.

The walk is free to join but walkers should register to attend via Eventbrite.
