Police have discovered a body in a public toilet block at Saltfleet Street in Port Noarlunga, near the popular wooden playground at Jubilee Park.

Emergency services were called to the area just before 7am this morning to deal with a fire in the block. They then discovered the deceased person.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner and say they need to conduct further investigation to determine if the death is suspicious, self-inflicted or a result of natural causes. 

A post-mortem will be conducted.

Police have closed off the surrounding area while they conduct the investigation and have asked the public to avoid the area.
