Hills Fleurieu Police are investigating the discovery of bones in Strathalbyn.
About 2.30pm on Friday 9 June, police were called to Paris Creek Road after reports that bones had been found on the side of the road, not attached to a specific property.
Forensic investigators attended and examined the scene.
A scene guard was established and today (Saturday 10 June), local detectives, and forensic investigators attended and searched the area. STAR Group officers, SES volunteers and local patrols assisted with the search and nothing else was located. Major Crime Investigators attended to assist with the investigation.
Police have sent bones, suspect of being human off for forensic testing. This testing will take some time.
