The South Australian Tourism Commission has launched a campaign to boost tourism to Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills following the devastating bushfires.
The #BookThemOut campaign has set the ambitious goal of completely booking out the regions for the coming months.
There has been an alarming drop in tourism visitation across Australia, even in areas that have not been affected by bushfires.
Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills rely heavily on tourism, and they have been seeing massive cancellations in bookings all the way through to April and beyond.
This is having devastating consequences on their economies, at a time where they need the most support.
South Australians have been asked to get out and experience their own regions and to spread the word that there is so much in the affected regions that is still beautiful and operational.
The #BookThemOut campaign invites and encourages people to visit them and have an amazing time.
Sealink and Kangaroo Island Connect have announced special deals on their fares to the island.
There are numerous large and small bushfire benefit events planned across the Fleurieu, offering residents and visitors the chance to show their support.

Black Tie & Boardies KI Fire Fundraiser, Middleton Friday 24 Jan
100per cent of all money raised from tickets, auctions, lucky dips and produce stalls will be donated to the appropriate charities providing support directly to KI for human and animal relief, support and rebuilding.
A Quiz Night will be held at the Encounter Bay Football Club on Saturday 24 January from 7pm. Tickets are $10 per person for tables of 10, with all proceeds going to the Western Districts Sports Club on Kangaroo Island. Bookings: 0408 846 422.

Another Quiz Night will be held in conjunction with the Red Cross at the Encounter Bay Football Club from 7pm on Friday 31 January. All funds raised go to South Australian bushfire relief. Bookings: 8552 3519 or 0402 279 807.

20 per cent of ticket sales, 10 per cent of wine/beer sales and 100 per cent of raffle proceeds donated to the CFS.
Kuti Shack Paella Night Thursday 6 February
100 per cent of sales from night donated to the CFS Bushfire Appeal.
Blessed Cheese Bushfire Appeal Friday 6 March
100 per cent of ticket sales and 20 per cent food sales donated to Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Hospital and the Salvation Army for distribution to bushfire victims and volunteers.
Best of Back Valley Bloody Big Barbie will be held on Sunday 16 February at Encounter Bay Oval to thank volunteers and raise funds for SA fires.
