Breaching Humpback

The SA Whale Centre have been tracking a Southern Right Whale mother and calf pair, who have been relaxing and loafing around near Port Elliot (between Knights Beach and Chiton Rocks). The team also have one single Southern Right Whale that has been travelling around between The Bluff and Seal Island and a very active Humpback has also been breaching near Seal Island! Reported today (July 13) at 2:03pm.

According to the centre, it is still incredibly important to maintain social distancing when out whale watching this season and to keep washing or sanitising your hands whenever possible. The centre encourages everyone to get out and about to have a look for whales but urges the public to do it safely and respectfully.

Keep your eyes peeled and if you do

see a whale, remember to call the SA Whale Centre on 08 8551 0750, send them a

message on their Facebook page or enter a report online at www.sawhalecentre.com.au.
