Building designer Narelle Osborne has been named in the Top 100 Women in the World in Construction for the second year in a row.
Working with Shed Boss Fleurieu in Inman Valley, she also runs her own business, Nara Nation.
Top 100 Women was founded in 2017 to recognise the accomplishments of women in the broader construction sector across Australia.
The organisation says its winners are of all ages, from all walks of life and exemplify achievement in many different fields in the broader construction sector.
“They were selected for setting high standards of excellence and contributing in ways that inspire us all.”
Narelle says she is thankful to be surrounded by the most amazing people, who have supported her career in construction and in advocacy.
“I was fortunate enough to be a winner in 2020. This platform allowed me to open doors and create opportunities for myself and other beyond my imagination.
“I have pushed myself to overcome my fear of public speaking and much more.
“I didn’t realise that I could help others by sharing my world. I am grateful for 2020 and all that I have learnt and overcome.”
Narelle Osborne is a Native Title as Traditional Land Owner for Barkindji Country, in the Darling River basin of western New South Wales.
She is a Business Mentor with Indigenous Business Australia and in October was a guest speaker at the Indigenous Employment Forum, speaking on diversity and inclusion.
Along with a line-up of Indigenous Trailblazers, she has been chosen to represent at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women Summit in New York next March.
