Round six of the federal government Stronger Communities Program opens from 10am on 19 January.
The program provides each of the 151 Federal electorates with $150,000 to fund up to 20 small capital projects.
These projects aim to improve local community participation and contribute to vibrant viable communities.
Federal Members of Parliament identify potential projects and invite applications from their electorates.
The federal electorate of Mayo takes in Kangaroo Island and most of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Community groups and organisations can apply for grants from $2,500 to $20,000 for projects they believe will help build a stronger local community.
Program grant guidelines are available online.
To receive Expression of Interest forms and or information about grant applications contact Mayo grants officer Milly Pink via email.
Applications close 5pm 22 March and Mayo MP Rebekha Sharkie will decide on the grants in conjunction with a panel drawn from the communities of Mayo.
