The Country Fire Service along with Forestry SA is currently responding to a grass and scrub fire at Bull Creek, south of Meadows in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
At around 10.45am, on Sunday 13 April, crews responded to reports of a car on fire on Bull Creek Road, which quickly spread into dry vegetation on the roadside.
The fire burnt in a south-easterly direction towards Old Bull Creek Road, where crews have been successful in preventing further fire spread. There is still active fire burning within the incident perimeter, particularly amongst scrub, and this is expected to continue for several hours.
There are currently 20 fire trucks and around 90 firefighters working on this incident, supported by firebombing and observation aircraft.
Bull Creek Road is currently closed between Paris Creek Road and Phillips Hill Road. Old Bull Creek Road remains open, however drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
