What You Should Do

🚨 If you are in the warning area – leave now.

  • Ensure your escape route is clear and head to a safer location.
  • Do not enter the area as conditions are dangerous.
  • Roads may become blocked, and heavy smoke will reduce visibility.
  • Secure pets before traveling.

🔥 If staying to defend, prepare now.

  • Identify a safe area inside your home with multiple exits.
  • Remove flammable materials from around your house.
  • Close all doors and windows to prevent smoke from entering.
  • Activate sprinklers if available.
  • If your home catches fire, move to an area already burnt and check surroundings for burning embers.

🚑 Emergency Services Response

Fire crews are responding, but assistance cannot be guaranteed. Homes that have been built to withstand bushfires and are well-prepared may provide safety. However, residents should expect potential loss of power, water, phone, and data services.
