Business like a BOSS for local womenSamantha Docking from BOSS addressing the latest Women in Business Regional Network dinner at Aldinga Beach.

Efficient ways to handle accounts and automation were the focus for the latest Women in Business Regional Network dinner for the McLaren Vale chapter.

The function was held at a new venue, Sourc’d Wine and Coffee Bar at Aldinga Beach.

The guest speaker, Port Lincoln member Samantha Docking of BOSS (Business Office Support Systems), was a wealth of information.

She provided details of what employer records need to be kept and what paperwork, in the cloud, of course, was needed for financial transactions.

Sam and her business work with many clients to help create efficiencies by having the right ‘digital stack’, with assistance provided in choosing apps and ensuring they can be integrated with one another.

She advises those in business to investigate any new apps thoroughly by firstly identifying what the business needs and then trialling new apps to ensure they do the tasks required.

She says building-in simple efficiencies and automation creates opportunities for not only more time to focus on core business, or to relax, but also the chance to explore growth opportunities.

The next McLaren Vale chapter event will be a lunch on Wednesday, March 31 at Magpie Springs Winery and Gallery at Hope Forest.

The presentation will focus on how to get finance for your business.

The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business.

You don’t have to be a member to attend events, but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.com.au.
