Strath Neighbourhood Centre is calling for more volunteers to help run its community programs.
People who can make a regular time commitment, or those who can help out occasionally with special events will be just as welcome to join the team.
One of the areas that needs volunteer help is the catering team, which runs weekly lunches and morning teas.
The centre is also looking for gardeners to work in the productive vegetable garden and help develop the plant rescue and plants sales programs.
Training can be provided to volunteers who need it.
Next year the centre will offer a new free home cookery program, with six three-hour sessions to learn how to cook on a budget.
It also runs special events, such as the annual Christmas pageant, and fundraisers, which could always use extra helping hands.

Anyone interested in volunteering can call into the office on Parker Avenue, Strathalbyn, on any weekday between 9am and 3.30pm, or call 0431 337 044.
