Cannabis crop seized at Myponga

Information from the public has led to the discovery of a hydroponic cannabis set up at Myponga last week.


On Thursday 29 July, police attended a Myponga home to search for drugs as a result of information supplied via Crime Stoppers. Officers located an elaborate hydroponic set up with 12 large mature plants in two rooms of the house.

The front of the house was set up to appear as though the residence was occupied.


Yesterday (Sunday 1 August), police attended a Christies Downs home and arrested a 57-year-old woman from Myponga. She was charged with cultivating cannabis, possessing prescribed equipment and diverting electricity. She was bailed to appear in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court on 8 October.
