The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has advised of temporary closures of the Cape Jervis boat ramp, starting from Friday 17 January.
The closures area part of the Cape Jervis Port upgrade works and have been publicised via the District Council of Yankalilla.
The boat ramp will be closed nightly between 7pm and 6am to allow for safe night works in the harbour from Friday 17 January to mid-March.
DIT says daytime closures may also be required in the first half of 2025 to facilitate further works for the new, larger ferries and the ongoing port upgrade.
The Cape Jervis boat ramp will reopen to all users for the Australia Day long weekend – 25 to 27 January.
During closures, Cape Jervis boat ramp facility users will be able to launch and retrieve vessels from the Wirrina Cove Marina at no cost.
