Cape Jervis residents and visitors concerned about the town’s jetty closure will have the chance to discuss it with representatives of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT).
DIT will hold two drop-in information sessions on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 September, before heading over to Kangaroo Island.
The jetty was closed in August in preparation for a major upgrade to the ferry ports at both Cape Jervis and Penneshaw.
Losing the facility has sparked outrage in the local community, as there are apparently no plans to replace it or to provide an alternative.
The information sessions will be held at the Cape Jervis Lookout on Sunday 17 September, from 10am to 1pm and at the Cape Jervis Community Club on Monday 18 September, from 11am to 2pm.
Work on the port upgrade is expected to start later this year and be completed in 2025.
