Charges over KI break ins and property damage

Kangaroo Island Police have arrested two boys following several reports of break ins and damage to property this month.


Sometime between Wednesday 3 and Wednesday 17 November a shed on Addison Street was broken into a property inside was damaged with spray paint.


Sometime between Friday 5 and Tuesday 16 November two sheds at a property on Addison Street were broken into and property inside damaged.


About 2pm on Sunday 14 November a property on Pennington Avenue was broken into and damage was caused to vehicles and rainwater tanks.


Following an investigation police located and arrested a 12-year-old and 10-year-old, both from Kingscote and charged them with three counts of aggravated serious criminal trespass and four counts of property damage. They were both bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Kingscote Youth Court on 17 January 2022.
