One man has been charged following a serious assault at Christie Downs.
About 5.15pm Tuesday 6 July emergency services were called to an oval off of Flaxmill Road after reports of an altercation between a group of people.
When emergency service arrived they located two men still at the scene; a 26-year-old Port Noarlunga South man with a stab wound, and an 18-year-old Christie Downs man with serious assault injuries. Both men were taken to the FMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. All parties are known to each other.
Police dog PD Marley searched the area and located the knife allegedly involved. Crime Scene officers and CIB attended to collect evidence.
The 26-year-old man has now been charged with affray and bailed to appear at the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 6 August. The 18-year-old remains in hospital is expected to be charged in the coming days.
